BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Career Options Africa Group, is a HR Consultancy firm specialized in Recruitment, HR outsourcing and Immigration support within the East African Region with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Burundi.

In-order to enhance our operations, COA seeks to fill the above position with a suitably qualified and competent HR Professional with experience working in a busy recruitment consultancy firm.

THE JOB

The Senior Human Resource Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment processes which includes research, sourcing, resume review and screening, testing, organizing data, and other general Human Resources duties, along with maintaining an effective talent pool of candidates for the group.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

  1.  Ensure all hirings are in accordance with the budget and necessary approvals in countries of operation.
  2. Marketing COA recruitment services to potential clients.
  3.  Liaise with hiring managers and clients to understand job requirements and competencies.
  4.  Draft job advertisements based on the job description of the position.
  5.  Evaluate and identify staffing strategies and develop diverse candidate pools, set expectations and keep hiring manager informed of recruitment status.
  6.  Identify high-quality candidates through active and passive sourcing via direct channels, job postings, social media, web sourcing, referrals and networking.
  7.  Conduct first-round of interviews for all suitable candidates, including administrating competency-based assessments and psychometric tests.
  8.  Assist with implementation of innovative sourcing strategies to cater to challenging roles.
  9.  Contribute towards building talent pipelines to fill current and future roles.
  10.  Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  11.  Assist with identification and development of sustainable talent acquisition planning and related strategies.
  12.  Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and related employment laws, and new technologies in HR talent management.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications;

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or equivalent relevant field.
  2. At least 3 years’ experience working with a leading Recruitment Consultancy Firm.
  3. A registered member of Institute of Human Resource Management.
  4. Good understanding and knowledge of the Kenya Labour Laws.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power point).

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies;

  1. Ability to support the development and execution of innovative and forward-thinking recruiting strategies.
  2. In-depth knowledge of candidate sourcing, selection and assessing methods.
  3. Excellent understanding of the full cycle end-to-end recruitment process.
  4. Great people skills, excellent business acumen, a self-driven and have an outstanding work ethics
  5. A very high level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail and organization are essential for the role.
  6. Great communication and presentation skills.
  7. Certification in any of the reputable psychometric tests /Evaluation system shall be an added advantage
  8. Must be well versed with Linked-in recruitment tools

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON

We are offering a salary of 50,000 plus a generous performance based bonus scheme based on number of successful placements.
