Senior Sales Agent

OUR CLIENT.

Our client is the leading low-cost Airline in the Region with planned entry into DRC with several scheduled flights between several DRC cities and other cities in the region. The Client is seeking to fill the position of Senior Sales agent in Democratic Republic of Congo with a suitably qualified and competent sales professional.

THE JOB.

The Senior Sales Agent will report to the Sales and Distribution Manager. He or she will be responsible for educating the market on the low cost carrier model in order to improve the market position, locate and convert new customers and enhance business relationships with customers and business partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sales prospecting and canvassing.
  • Support sales & ticketing agents within the region by handling escalations, and addressing staff issues before escalation.
  • Participate in Sales activations and Marketing activities as required.
  • Actively build relationships with clients by offering personalized customer care in order to retain and recruit new customers.
  • Educate prospective customers on auxiliary products and services in order to build an interest and subsequent Sale.
  • Provide Customer feedback regularly on the effectiveness of business processes and products to ensure continued improvement.
  • Actively suggest new ideas and recommendations to meet customer needs.
  • Support travel agents in order to improve relationships with the travel market and increase Agent’s loyalty.
  • Educate customers on the legal requirements covering their journey such as check in place, departure time and baggage allowance to avoid related inconveniences.
  • Promote the Contact Centre to Customers as a convenient access point to for Bookings/Sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The job holder should have the following qualifications:

  • Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or Air Travel . A degree in Tourism or Business will b an added advantage
  • ATA/UFTAA Foundation or Consultant Level Diploma Required.
  • Fluency in both French and English a is essential while working knowledge of Swahili will be an added advantage Minimum ‘O’ level Division III or C (Plain) in KCSE.
  • IATA/UFTAA Foundation or Consultant Level Diploma Required.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • 3 years experience in  airline or travel agency fares and ticketing
  • Must have Knowledge of Navitaire, SkyPort & SkySpeed
