Key Deliverables

  • In cooperation with the Country Representative, develops a long-term strategy for programmes for the Country Office in Kenya, operationalizes and leads its implementation
  • Defines the common approach and quality standards in PAH Programmes and monitors their coherent application across programmes
  • Provide leadership and direction and responsible for timely and effective implementation of activities as well as use of budget and other resources enabling synergies in the Programmes, assuring compliance with internal standards (e.g. PCM guidelines)
  • Lead on proposal development; coordinate and manage proposal writing by identifying sources for programmes financing and funding opportunities
  • Leads Programme Team, i.e. selects, assesses performance, motivates, establishes supporting relations and develops project staff
  • Liaises and engages in cooperation with stakeholders such as donors, institutions, authorities, international and national non-governmental organizations, international organizations (IOs), clusters representing PAH

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Experience in leading and managing WASH/FSL and other development programmes (minimum 4 years)
  • Documented successes in applying for institutional and private funds
  • Proven experience in project management (at least 4 years)
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Strong results orientation with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets
  • Proven ability to manage a complex and demanding workload
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong sense of personal and professional integrity
  • Excellent spoken and written in English and Kiswahili
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • University degree in relevant field
