Role Purpose

The MCOE Programme Manager will be responsible for Monitoring Programme & capacity, automation strategy and combined assurance enablement and associated reporting.

Key Deliverables

  • To assist with planning, directing and coordinate the engagements of the enterprise-wide approved monitoring plan/s, including tracking and reporting on progress of same for all segments/franchises.
  • Manage capacity planning and resource efficiency of the MCOE monitoring specialists, including tools to track and improve same.
  • Identify and analyse issues/challenges/opportunities in monitoring progress delivery and ongoing proactive tracking and reporting on staffing requirements, allocation of resources for timeous delivery against planned monitoring engagements.
  • Focus on tactical service plans to deliver and continuously provide a consistent, seamless and positive customer experience.
  • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across FRG assurance providers to mature the combined assurance strategy of the group and enhance MCOE’s involvement in combined assurance initiatives.
  • Establish mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders that support thought leadership, innovative and integrated practice solutions.
  • Perform oversight function in relation to monitoring resource charge outs and cost recovery.
  • Manage the automation strategy of the MCOE with the support from the Compliance Data and Analytics function, to improve operational efficiencies and reporting.
  • Assist with ongoing identification/research on how to improve MCOE processes, maturity and tools that is of industry best practice.
  • Provide input into and review of monitoring standards, procedural manuals and guidance notes.
  • Continuous review and monitoring of data used/generated by and communicated by MCOE to ensure information governance, data quality and privacy requirements are adhered to.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviour through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organisational values and monitoring best practice through coaching/mentoring team members.
  • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development.
  • Coach/mentor the team members and corrective actions on performance related issues.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Registered CA(SA)
  • Internal Audit accreditation (CIA, CFSA, etc.)

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in similar roles and understands internal audit requirements and/or regulatory compliance monitoring requirements for financial organisations.
  • Understanding of audit or compliance monitoring plan formulation, tracking and reporting.
  • Understanding of a regulatory environment and ability to interpret and apply technical rules in a practical way.
